I was impressed with the experience from beginning to end. I called and had someone out the next day to give reasonable quote for refinishing of first and second floor, plus stairs. The team was able to come out about a week later. They kept me apprised of progress and additional needs. The also finished in 7 days which I thought was amazing! The floors are gorgeous!

This is the text I sent to Jonny and Mark upon completion of my floors:Just got home after being away and tied up at work for the last couple days, so this was the first we saw the floors completed. All I can say is that in the four decades that I’ve owned homes where I hired numerous contractors to refinish my hardwood floors, your work is by far the very best I’ve ever seen. We are literally blown away at the beauty that you brought out in these 96-year-old wooden floors. The wood transition pieces are an awesome touch and we can’t thank you enough for your professionalism and attention to detail, Jonny. All the best.

We are very happy with the job Michigan Hardwood Flooring Contractors did to refinish our hardwood! Mark came out and gave us an estimate with no pressure. We liked that Mark was very easy to get in touch with if we had any questions and would return calls promptly. We scheduled our job for the next available time which was a bit more than a month away. The weekend before Mark gave us a call just to remind us and let us know what time the crew would arrive.Right on time Bruce and Kyle showed up and immediately got to work. On day 1 they sanded, day 2 they sanded some more, vacuumed, water popped the floor and applied the stain (we went with Jacobean) and lastly, day 3 they applied a sealer and two coats of water-based polyurethane. We went with water-based polyurethane on Mark's recommendation and because we were still living in the house it has a faster dry time and less odor (it was almost non-existent). They use only Bona brand polyurethane which after researching is the best out there. Yes, of course, our house was dusty after the job but they did their best to vacuum and clean up and even took the sawdust away with them. Floor sanding is not an easy job and Bruce and Kyle worked very hard and know their craft well.Thank you Bruce, Kyle, and Mark! Our floors look great! We wont hesitate to give you guys a call again for anything flooring from now on.

If you are wondering how good your wood floors can look, without unnecessary stress, call this company! They sanded and refinished a living room, bedroom, hallway, stairway and 3 closet floors. The team (especially Greg and Jose) were professional, talented, skilled, knowledgeable, great communicators, respectful, on time, and patient. They were careful with protecting my house while they worked. The result was wonderful!!! I would hire them again without hesitation.

We had a great experience with Michigan Hardwood Flooring Contractors. They removed carpet (and some other gross flooring found underneath) from 4 bedrooms in our new (to us) 1936 home and refinished the existing original hardwoods. The results were amazing - the refinished floors look awesome and blend perfectly with what we had existing. The team was also great - Charlie and his wife did a fantastic job and were prompt, professional and extremely courteous - really great to work with. They were respectful, made great recommendations and left the house spotless after every day of work, and the end of the project. The owner, Mark, was also very friendly, a good communicator and was able to get the work scheduled right away. We are fully satisfied with both the product and the service. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to have floors beautifully refinished by a group of professional, friendly people.

My experience with Michigan Hardwood Flooring Services was excellent from the beginning. I called and spoke to Mark who promptly setup an appointment and came out right away. (I made a call to another company and they stated that they did not do work in Detroit). I picked out cumaru wood at a different flooring store and had it delivered. After the wood acclimated to my house (about a week) the work began. The house is a 100 year old historic home and the underlayment required repairs. I am very pleased with the end result and I highly recommend this company. I have had a lot of work done on my house and these guys were the most diligent and professional.

The team did an outstanding job. Mark came out to measure and explain the whole process from removing molding, sanding, color selection and guidance to care for it. The quote was very competitive and the timing worked out great as I was able to take the time to move larger appliances that needed attention and the house was empty so could get the entire floor completed instead of having untouched areas. We are very pleased with the outcome and it has breathed new life into our floors.
